The combination of learning an instrument together with learning music theory is the recipe for musical glory. Some of the best performers in the world understand the theory as well as their instrument.
Don`t be mistaken, it is FUN!
Music theory lessons cannot be underestimated. All too often students have questions that need to be answered and are easier to understand in a group setting due to the nature of energy in the room and shared passion of the pupils. Although Individual lessons are possible, we recommend the group classes as all individual music instrument lessons also include music theory.
About the classes:
Music theory classes are structured in the following format:
- Intervals: recognition, hearing, writing and playing
- Chords Basic: recognition, hearing writing and playing
- Chords Advanced: recognition, hearing writing and playing
- Ear Development
- Melodic Dictation
- Harmonic Dictation
- Composing and using learnt music theories
- Groups projects of music writing, playing and composing
We separate group classes into age, experience and language.
We teach music theory through interactive, adaptable and game-like activities in order to keep students interested, excited and enthusiastic about learning what is behind the music they play. This gives pupils the knowledge and tools to improve their musical thinking, perception and performance.
Above all, classes are fun.

Group music theory classes cost only €12 per lesson.
Individual Prices:
- 30 minute trial lesson - €28
- 45 minute lesson - €41
- 60 minute lesson * - €49
*Can be divided into 2 x 30 minute classes within the same hour. Perfect for 2 different students.
(2 different instruments/classes also possible).
Travel costs are applicable outside of Heidelberg.
